On five occasions over the past five years, I have travelled to teach Experimental Cinema at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Television in San Antonio de los Banos in 2009. In conjunction with my course, I brought down materials to construct an outdoor dual-screen theatre, a cine-jardin. For this screening, I showed films from Norman McLaren, Stan Brakhage and James Benning. At the end of my class, I left the materials for the screens for the continuing use of the school’s students. My trips the the school have been funded by CUPFA Professional Development grants.
