

{"id":2040,"date":"2014-02-09T17:11:02","date_gmt":"2014-02-09T22:11:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cupfa.org\/?p=2040"},"modified":"2015-02-12T13:54:12","modified_gmt":"2015-02-12T18:54:12","slug":"new-deadline-for-applications-for-summer-courses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cupfa.org\/en_CA\/new-deadline-for-applications-for-summer-courses\/","title":{"rendered":"NEW DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS FOR SUMMER COURSES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the negotiation process CUPFA has signed, on January 22<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a02014, a letter of agreement (LOA) concerning the posting of summer courses. \u00a0You might remember that we signed a similar LOA in 2012.\u00a0 While the first LOA proved unworkable for various reasons, we are confident that the new protocol will address the needs of both parties.\u00a0 The LOA recently signed will apply only to the current year.<\/p>\n<p>The Employer\u2019s position is that the timing of the initiation of the hiring process was difficult to incorporate into their deadlines. \u00a0Following discussions we agreed to minor modifications that would accommodate the Employer while keeping the end of the hiring process intact. \u00a0The new process will now equal the time allocated for the other hiring processes in the May and October period.
