Throughout the 1960s, the\u00a0<strong>Newport Folk Festival\u00a0<\/strong>featured folk artists such as Peter Seeger, Joan Baez, Peter, Paul and Mary, Ian and Sylvia, and Joni Mitchell, plus traditional acts and rediscovered blues legends.\u00a0The 1967\u00a0<strong>Monterey Pop Festival\u00a0<\/strong>helped usher in the Summer of Love.\u00a0Headlined by the Mamas and the Papas, it featured the Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Simon and Garfunkel, Otis Redding, Janis Joplin and more. The 1969\u00a0<strong>Woodstock Festival\u00a0<\/strong>had an unprecedented audience of 450,000 and indelible performances by JImi Hendrix, the Airplane, the Who, Canned Heat, Country Joe and the Fish, Joe Cocker, Santana, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and others. All these performers will be represented in the concert, with songs such as: Where Have All the Flowers Gone &#8211; California Dreaming &#8211; Purple Haze &#8211; Woodstock &#8211;\u00a0Piece of My Heart &#8211;\u00a0Evil Ways &#8211; Homeward Bound &#8211; Bad Moon Rising &#8211; and lots more!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Oscar Peterson Concert Hall, Concordia University Loyola Campus, 7141 Sherbrooke St. West, Montreal<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Show times<\/strong>: Friday, May 17 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, May 18 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Tickets<\/strong>: $30 (regular), $25 (seniors), $18 (students), and $10 (children 12 and under, matinee only).
