To commemorate International Women’s Day on\u00a0Wednesday March 8th, 2017<\/span><\/strong>, Montreal-based choir\u00a0Choeur Maha\u00a0<\/strong>will\u00a0\u00a0perform three sets over the lunch hour. \u00a0Founded and directed by longtime part-time faculty member Kathy Kennedy, <\/b>the choir have been performing in the Montreal area and beyond since 1991. \u00a0At the upcoming event they\u00a0will be singing songs of Resilience, Empowerment and Vision. \u00a0You are warmly invited to join them for one or more of their performances:<\/p>\n

\n–\u00a012 noon<\/span>: MB atrium (1450 Guy St.)

\n– Warrior, Maha’s adopted anthem written by the Wyrd Sisters
\n– Strong Woman Song, a resilience song written by the Anishinabe women incarcerated in the Prison for Women in the 1970’s.
